2026.09.28 - 2026.10.04 나카타 게이스케 이민자의 노래를 들어라 이 작품은 2014년부터 2016년까지 제가 살았던 뉴욕 브루클린 부시윅 거리에서 열린 National Puerto Rican Day Parade를 촬영한 것입니다. 푸에르토리코에 사는 사람들은 미국 국적을 가지고 있으면서도 미국 대통령 선거의 투표권은 없습니다. 일 년에 한 번 열리는 축제에는 스페인과 미국의 역사 속에 묻혀 있으면서도 그들 자신이 계속 지켜온 identity의 주장이 있었습니다. 그 모습을 촬영하면서 저는 언젠가 저도 이민자가 되어 이국의 땅에서 고향의 축제에 참여하는 날이 올까 하고 생각하게 되었습니다. 언젠가 저도 오봉에 중국에서 본오도리를 추는 날이 온다면. 그날을 위해 능숙하게 춤출 수 있도록 준비해두고 싶습니다. 2014–2016 Hart St. and Knickerbocker Ave., Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY Hear the Immigrant Sing. This piece was shot between 2014 and 2016 during the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in my neighborhood in Bushwick, Brooklyn, New York. People living in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens, but do not have the right to vote in U.S. presidential elections. Through this annual celebration, I felt their assertion of identity, shaped by and buried within the histories of Spain and the United States. As I photographed them, I began to wonder if someday I might also become an immigrant and take part in a festival from my homeland in a foreign land. If someday I dance Bon Odori in China during Obon, I want to be prepared to dance well. 2014–2016 Hart St. and Knickerbocker Ave., Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY 선평 뉴욕에서 촬영된, 매우 이색적이면서도 활기 넘치는 프로젝트. 뉴욕시 푸에르토리코 커뮤니티의 축제를 통해 '또 다른 역사'라는 생각에 마주하며, 커뮤니티, 기억, identity에 대한 중요한 질문을 불러일으키고 있다.
